Ian Baggett is Non-Executive Director of Taemar and has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry.
Since coming into the industry as a property developer in 1994 following a university dissertation on ‘Student property in Durham’ and a £2,000 inheritance from his gran to buy his first student development, Ian has gone on to create a multi-million pound property portfolio and a number of businesses in property led industries such as property development, ground rent portfolios, property management and lettings.
Ian is the Chairman of the Adderstone Group property development organisation and also a non-executive partner in Brims Construction.
Over the last 20 years Ian has led a number of large scale property developments across the company’s vast portfolio including; the 100,000 sq. ft. Quay West Business village in Sunderland (RICS Special Commendation), the salvage and restoration of the Grade 1* listed Tyne Theatre (the world’s last remaining working Victorian theatre) and creation of the 228 bed student accommodation, Union Square (2015 North East Student Hall of the Year).
Ian is a key member of the Taemar Board, providing advice to the team on strategic decisions, along with creative and innovative input on developments.
