Rialto Building - Penthouse Project

Project Type – Residential, New build

Creation of four premium penthouse apartments on roof space of popular residential building.

Rialto is one of Newcastle’s most impressive purpose built apartment blocks. The building is situated within a much sought-after location, sandwiched between the famous Newcastle Quayside and Northumbria University campus. It offers breath-taking views over the River Tyne and is just a short walk from the city centre.

This popular building, which was built by Persimmon Homes in 2006, is in much demand from students and young professionals and consists of one bed to five bed apartments spread over seven floors.

Taemar Limited embarked on a project to deliver four brand new and impressive four-bedroomed penthouse apartments on the roof space of one of the elevations of the property on behalf of its parent company, Adderstone Group.

The apartments were particularly high in specification and designed to appeal to owner occupiers or investors due to their proximity to key nearby attractions and educational institutions.

Each of these penthouse apartments are fully fitted with modern fixtures and fittings, soft furnishings and televisions in living areas and are equipped with high speed wireless broadband connection.

The adaptation of the site and build of this project was logistically challenging as the construction team had to carefully manage the project to ensure minimal disruption to the residents below the project site. The team also had to manage deliveries and access to works, as well as gaining access to roof space whilst residents continued to live beneath the live site.

All of the available apartments were let off plan well in advance of their completion dates.
